1934-A $5 Hawaii World War 2 Emergency Issue Federal Reserve Note Fr. 2302 ~ XF+ Dime [O12 {1988} Breen p 380]These notes were issued for use on the Hawaiian islands during World War II. Should the island be invaded and large amounts of the currency captured the notes could be quickly demonetized. The $5 is considered the toughest of the four denominations. Ostensibly AU but some light foxing holds it back a bit.
