The fabric blends sturdy American Memphis cotton and long staple soft Zimbabwean cotton, to balance strength and comfort. Woven on a modified 1950s Sakamoto shuttle loom, the fabric consists of yarns rope dyed to a medium dark shade inspired by 1950s denim. The fabric is unsanforized, and given a wash to remove shrinkage and bring out the texture.
