Sebastien Magnien, Volnay Les Echards, 2022 SO20231128 pine and smokeSbastien Magnien is one of the rising young talents in the Cte de Beaune, crafting expressive, terroir transparent wines that marry tradition with a sense of precision and lift. His 2022 Volnay "Les Echards" comes from a prime village site just below the famed Premier Crus, on classic limestone and clay soils. This is Volnay as it should be: delicate yet structured, with a perfume of red cherries, rose petals, violets, and just a hint of forest floor.
