Bright and inviting red cherries and glossy red plums up front, with a little licorice and a whisper of spice. On the palate its medium bodied, fairly supple with a lively mineral edge, gentle tannins and a touch of smokiness; the finish is fresh, slightly spicy, and easy going. Pair with grilled sausages or merguez, a peppery steak, tomato based pasta (like puttanesca or bolognese), or even a hearty ratatouille or eggplant laden dish. Its
